Description:
- Manages all functions of the Payroll department involved in the preparation and distribution of wages and salaries to associates.
- Ensures accurate preparation and balancing of bi-weekly and monthly payroll and special payrolls.
- Collaborates on design of payroll policy and recommends procedural changes for the payroll process.
- Acts as a liaison with an outside computer payroll processing company for problem resolution and error correction.
- Handles various payroll adjustments, including shortages, garnishments, vacation pay, bonuses, etc.
- Prepares periodic payroll-related analyses, statements and projections.
- Involved in other HR activities, including recruiting and retention, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training and development.
- Responsible for maintaining current salary benchmark information.
- Provides assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures and documentation.
- Maintains an appropriate balance between associate and corporate advocacy.
- Effectively communicates with entire associate base, candidates, leadership, vendors and other outside organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or an HR Certification (SPHR, PHR, GPHR) or equivalent experience.
- At least three years of payroll experience (ADP preferred, but not required).
- Desire to pursue personal and professional growth.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
