We are looking for Customer Service Representatives who have a passion for what they do. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be on the front lines, responsible for managing our customer relationships.
A Rio Grande Customer Service Representative is able to successfully deliver the highest level of customer service to meet our client’s expectations through phone, online chat and e-mail. Rio Grande Customer Service Representatives take personal responsibility for every interaction with a customer; providing World-Class service, building customer loyalty, improving customer retention and exceeding expectations. This position requires a person who is driven by customer interaction and has a passion for service! As a Rio Grande associate, you will:
- Receive three weeks of paid training, including system, product and cultural knowledge so you’ll feel confident and comfortable supporting our customers
- Answer calls in a friendly, professional manner to ensure an excellent customer service experience
- Provide accurate information, including pricing, availability and product information
- Efficiently process customer orders, special orders and catalog requests
- Use product knowledge to help our customers grow their profitability
- Resolve customer service issues to ensure win/win outcomes
- Participate in calling campaigns to grow our business (no cold calling; calling campaigns are to existing customers)
- Identify and leverage opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell products
- Interact with teammates to recommend process improvements that will benefit our customers and our business
Qualifications The successful candidate will have experience in sales and customer service, as well as a passion for going above and beyond to help customers grow their businesses. The candidate will be professional and mature, yet fun-loving and warm, while enjoying an environment that is collaborative and encourages associates to think outside the box. In order to be successful you’ll need:
- Demonstrated competency in a Windows/Microsoft Office based environment, with keyboard proficiency of at least 45 WPM, a good understanding of the Internet and 10-key proficiency
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is a plus; fluency in English is a must; Spanish is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a lively working environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Good math, grammar and spelling skills are required
- Active listening skills
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with functional and cross-functional teammates

Customer Service Representatives work an 8-hour shift during our normal hours of operation: Monday-Friday from 7am-6pm. No nights or weekends!
