Align material requirements w/supplier base to maintain & manage inventory levels for continuous supply of material to meet purchasing strategy
Work as part of a team to evaluate supplier performance; sourcing strategies to develop & maintain supplier partnerships
Qualifications:
Purchasing exp. a must, preferably in a mfg. environment
Strong understanding of MRP
Demonstrated initiative, creativity & good judgment in solving complex problems
Excellent analytical & conceptual skills
Excellent verbal, written & listening communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics or closely related field OR CPIM certification required. Additional qualifying exp. of a purchasing nature may be substituted for education.
Familiarity with TQM methodology & problem-solving concepts a plus
