|
- Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints or work orders, using brazing and variety of TiG and MiG welding equipment.
- Welds metal parts together, using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of welding processes.
- Performs related tasks, such as thermal cutting and grinding.
- Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes and increases size of metal parts.
- Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
- Locates and repairs cracks, using inspection equipment and gas torch.
- Will be required to pass standard performance tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies and internal performance requirements.
- Technical/vocational certificate or commensurate experience in welding.
- A minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness and ability to work collaboratively on a team.
- Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form.
- Deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Calculus: Apply concepts of analytic geometry, differentiation and integration of algebraic functions with applications.
- Algebra: Work with exponents and logarithms, linear equations, quadratic equations, mathematical induction and binomial theorem and permutations.
- Statistics: Apply mathematical operations to frequency distributions, reliability and validity of tests, normal curve, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, chi-square application and sampling theory and factor analysis.
