The successful candidate will have had experience in all aspects of Product Management and Product Development.
The Product Manager is responsible for:
- Conducting research and analysis to identify new product and market opportunities
- Managing new product development process from inception to market
- Coordinate with other departments: Design; Manufacturing; Marketing, Sales and Training for introduction of finished product
- Collaborating with marketing personnel to develop integrated marketing programs
- Managing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers, dealers and customers
- Providing on-going product line support (e.g., training, product recommendations, etc.) for sales team and end users
- Collaborating with other Product Managers to co-promote across product lines
- Growing the financial success of the product line
Qualifications:
- Strong creative, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, merchandising, procurement or related field or equivalent experience (at least six years in a purchasing or merchandising environment with decision-making responsibility)
- Proven track record and success in a purchasing or merchandising environment
- Experience with industrial equipment and processes such as casting, lasers and rapid prototype equipment a plus.
- Investigative, curious personality that is driven to know the market and understand the competitive environment.
