Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Root-cause analysis of re-occurring errors on Windows workstations and laptops.
Utilize Help Desk Call Logging software to completely document all user requests from start to finish.
Design, document and maintain preventative maintenance plans for approximately 350-500 workstations.
Utilize and maintain enterprise console tools for Windows workstations.
Software installation/troubleshooting including centralized virus/spyware protection, Citrix clients, disk-health software, etc.
Utilize remote access tools and internal and external knowledge resources to maintain, upgrade and repair Windows and Apple workstations and laptops.
Provide support, consult with and train workstation users.
Provide support for Blackberry/WindowsMobile/iPhone devices, laser printers, multifunction copiers and LXE scanners.
Provide 24/7 on-call support, and be available to work any time between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., Monday–Friday and some weekends.
Qualifications:
Experience providing technical support for, repairing and deploying workstations, peripherals, Windows Operating Systems and applications.
Strong knowledge of Windows 2000 through Windows 7.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications 2000 through 2007.
Ability to translate complicated technical instructions into everyday terminology that is easily understood.
Ability to take the lead by providing timely and effective resolutions to problems with maximum focus on efforts that maintain customer satisfaction.
A+, Network +, Microsoft and OEM certifications desired.
Should be able to work well with little supervision and must function well in a high-paced, SLA-driven environment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
